Overview

We are looking for an optician passionate about luxury eyewear to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while assisting patients with their eyewear needs. We are looking for a team player who is motivated, hardworking, and be able to multitask. As an Optician, you will work closely with both patients and healthcare professionals to ensure that individuals receive the best optical care and products tailored to their specific requirements.

Responsibilities

• Styling patients for eyewear that is based on their needs and preferences.
• Knowledge of lens material, coatings, and frame choices. Familiarity with Essilor products.
• Have a good understanding of vision insurance such as VSP and Eyemed and be able to communicate insurance coverage to patients
• Ability to take accurate lens measurements for single vision, bifocal, and progressive glasses.
• Interpret prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists to provide accurate eyewear solutions.
• Billing insurance for exam and eyewear.
• Manage inventory of optical products and supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained.

Experience

Candidates should possess a background that includes:

• Retail sales experience, preferably in an optical or healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, such as Revolution EHR.
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to optics and vision care.
• Understanding of optics, such as optical center, PD, seg height, etc
• Experience with edging glasses is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
