Part Time Tile Sales Associate

Job Description

We are seeking a part-time Sales Associate to join the Bella Tile & Stone design team. Located in the heart of downtown Delafield, Wi, this is an on-site role in our beautiful boutique style showroom. Using our vast collection of tile and stone products, you will create tile designs for our customer base of interior designers, builders, tile contractors and homeowners. You will work closely with clients to understand their design preferences and provide them with customized tile solutions that meet their needs. You will be expected to maintain a strong sense of product knowledge in order to supply customers with in-depth information on product features and benefits. You will see the sale through the entire cycle of a transaction from the initial design appointment to placing the order to the coordination of delivery or pick up, ensuring customer satisfaction and order accuracy for every touchpoint of a job.  

Responsibilities & Requirements: 

• This is an in-store position that requires showroom coverage during store hours from 9:30 am-4pm 
• Collaborate with homeowners, contractors, architects and interior designers on project design details and deadlines
• Ability to create eye-catching, engaging, beautiful spaces and provide recommendations to meet space, style, and cost requirements
• Deliver above and beyond customer service and exceed expectations when assisting customers
• Manage multiple, simultaneous customer projects through all phases with a high level of accuracy, timeliness and follow-up including consistent and concise communication to customers and others
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely project delivery and the organizational skills to manage all aspects of complex projects from start through a successful completion 
• Keep current with trends and designs in the market
• Educate yourself and memorize location of all showroom product lines 
• Coordinate with outside suppliers, vendors and services as needed 
• Ability to address client and vendor questions and requests via phone, email and in our showroom

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate Degree or higher - preferably in Interior Design, Graphic Design or other related field but not required
• Strong work ethic with a drive to exceed expectations
• Passionate about design and possess a sense of design that spans various styles 
• Work well in a fast paced yet creative small business environment 
• Team Player 
• Open to learning and growing independently and from feedback 
• Work well under high pressure; ability to multi-task & manage workflow based on customer needs and resource availability 
• Detail oriented and highly organized
• Excellent listening, visual memorization & communication skills 
• Strong math and computer skills
• Experience using QuickBooks, Word, Excel, Power Point & Google Docs to manage and communicate with clients, staff and partners
• Professional appearance with an engaging and friendly personality
• Associate Degree or higher in Interior Design, Graphic Design or other related field 
• Familiarity with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and SketchUp a plus but not required
• Previous experience in Interior Design, Retail, Customer Service or other related fields is helpful, but we are willing to invest in training the right candidate
• Pay commensurate with experience level with room for growth; this is a non-commission based hourly wage; discretionary quarterly bonus structure in place for sales associates based on overall net profits of the company (available after a minimum of one year of service and proven results).
