Payroll Specialist

We are working with an established industrial product manufacturer based near Mantua Township, NJ. They are recruiting for a Payroll Specialist to join their team working Monday-Friday in return for a salary in the region of $60-65,000 along with excellent employment benefits.

Key Responsibilities include:

Payroll Administration (via ADP)

• Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll using ADP, weekly checks.
• Enter and audit time data, deductions, bonuses, and PTO in the system.
• Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state (NJ), and local regulations.

Attendance Tracking & Timekeeping

• Monitor and maintain employee attendance records.
• Ensure timecard accuracy and follow up on missed punches or anomalies.
• Coordinate with supervisors to verify shift schedules and overtime approvals.

Employee Onboarding & Offboarding

• Coordinate new hire paperwork, orientation, and onboarding logistics.
• Handle basic offboarding procedures, including final pay and exit documentation.

HR Support & Compliance

• Maintain accurate personnel files and ensure confidentiality.
• Support compliance with New Jersey labor laws and company policies.

Business Support

• Support ACH payments run requiring management signatures and weekly checks.
• Reconcile AP ledger and assist in month-end closings.
• Support overall administrative functions, including document filing and supply management.
• Assist with records required by external accountants or CPAs.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee and financial information with discretion.

Qualifications & Experience Preferred:

• Experience with electronic payroll systems (ADP)
• Experience within a manufacturing or industrial processing facility
• Good computer and telephone skills
• A Degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred but not required.
