Job Description

Black Swan, Inc. is looking for a Personal Vehicle Rural Courier to service areas near Magnolia, Hockley, Pinehurst and/or Waller Texas. This position would be expected to load packages into their personal vehicle at the FedEx Ground location in Cypress, Texas in the morning and drive out to these locations to deliver the packages. Deliver your assigned packages and go home after dropping your last package!

You must supply your own vehicle

• Vehicle must be presentable and legal. May not be older than 14 years

The following types of personal vehicles can be used: SUVs, Minivans, and pickup trucks (covered and secured bed required)

• NO CARS

Responsibilities:

• Courier will arrive at FedEx Ground location to retrieve packages from the FedEx Ground terminal (most packages will be small)
• Load all packages assigned to your area into your vehicle in the morning
• Safely and efficiently drive vehicle to delivery locations (businesses and residences)
• Greet customers in a friendly fashion (when applicable)
• Deliver packages in an appropriate drop-off area (e.g. front door), obliging customer requests and obtaining signatures when necessary
• Problem-solve loading and delivery issues, navigational discrepancies, and customer requests
• Other responsibilities as assigned

• Have map-reading and navigation skills
• Be a team player
• Adapt quickly and efficiently to short-notice changes

Personal & Vehicle Requirements:

• Driver’s license
• 21 years or older
• Pass Background Check
• Pass Motor Vehicle Record check
• The vehicle model year must be no older than 15 years
• Vehicle registration
• Proof of insurance
• Proof of state inspection
• The following types of personal vehicles can be used: sedans station wagons, SUVs, minivans and pickup trucks (covered and secured bed)

Black Swan Logistics has a relationship with FedEx Ground to service their last mile delivery of packages out of 4 facilities. Bryan TX, College Station TX, Cypress TX, and Kyle TX.
Black Swan currently employs 180 employees and 145 vehicles to deliver over 10,000 packages per day across 4000 square miles of Texas
