Job Description

Plant Manager 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence:
    • Optimize production processes to maximize output and minimize costs.
    • Maintain our preventative maintenance program to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with safety regulations.
    • Drive adherence to standard operating procedures through training and accountability
    • Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
    • Optimize and track performance metrics for cost efficiency, waste reduction, and quality control.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and motivate a diverse team of over 100 operational, maintenance and support staff.
    • Drive a continuing culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement and
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations , coaching and oversee capacity building in our workforce
    • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
    • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Foster our safety-first culture by ensuring strict adherence to all safety and environmental regulations and promoting a safety-first culture for all employees.
    • Conduct regular safety audits, drills and training sessions.
    • Collaborate with the EHS Manager to develop and implement safety protocols, track safety KPIs (e.g., incident rates, near misses, safety audit scores), and ensure continuous improvement in safety performance
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve production goals and objectives.
    • Identify and leverage opportunities for growth and expansion.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field, or +10 years of relative manufacturing leadership experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in plant management, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record of driving operational efficiency and improving production metrics.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and motivate teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, production schedules, and operational processes.
  • In-depth understanding of safety and environmental compliance policies and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
