Location: Annapolis, MD 21401

Position : Journeyman Plumber

Duration: Direct Hire / Perm

Hourly Pay : $24-42/hr based on years of exp as a plumber

Interview: 1&done: on-site w/ manager

Interview times: will confirm within 24 hours of sub. HM has high sense of urgency!

Openings: 1

Shift: Monday- Friday 7AM - 3:30PM

• Occasional on-call for emergencies
• Candidate may be needed to come in early or stay late
• Overtime (1.5x) can be expected for emergencies/unforeseen circumstances

PR: $24 - $42/hour based on years of experience

Required:

• Active Maryland Journeyman Plumber license
• HS Diploma/GED
• MD Driver's License (with no more than 2 points)
• 3+ years plumbing experience in hospital or institutional setting (doesn’t need to be hospital)
• Institutional could be universities, schools, etc.
• Active Back Flow Preventer certification
• Candidate can obtain/renew during onboarding if needed
• Soft skills: flexible, team player, close to Annapolis in case needed for emergency

Preferred:

• MD Master Plumber license

Day to Day:

Insight Global is looking for a Journeyman Plumber to support a hospital system out of Annapolis, MD. This plumber will perform preventive and corrective maintenance functions on hospital plumbing, sewer, and water systems.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
2. Performs plumbing, corrective and preventive maintenance using tools and equipment as required; corrects deficiencies as needed according to standard plumbing practices.
3. Clean and unclog drains and toilets, repair water faucets, flushometers, perform the installation of plumbing fixture and piping, perform repairs in steam, oxygen, vacuum and other medical gases.
4. Assist supervisor in determining priorities among corrective maintenance requests according to department standards.
5. Participate in ongoing hospital construction projects and renovations by dismantling and re-assembling plumbing and other systems as needed within the local plumbing code.
6. Coordinates inspections, repairs, and installation with staff in affected areas to minimize disruption of hospital operations.
7. Ensures compliance with department safety and quality standards to optimize effective utilization of resources and productivity.
8. Remains knowledgeable and proficient with plumbing distribution system for each building on campus. Create and maintain both single-line drawings and distribution maps for all plumbing systems.
9. Train Engineering Department maintenance mechanics about professional commercial plumbing practices.
10. Observes all MOSH, local, state, and federal laws and regulations, Equipment Manufacturer and Medical Center safety regulations with respect to personal protective equipment, performance of work, and safe equipment operations and hazardous waste disposal.
11. Ensures the effective utilization of department resources by monitoring compliance with safety and quality standards, department policies and procedures.
