Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic PMI PMP® Certification Instructor and Project Management Trainer to join our team and deliver high-impact, in-person training for professionals pursuing project management excellence. This is a 1099 contract opportunity —ideal for a seasoned project leader and educator who thrives in the classroom, adapts content for diverse audiences, and brings real-world experience to life.

Schedule: Four separate training engagements, each with 3 full-day (8-hour) sessions

What You’ll Do

• Deliver engaging, in-person instruction based on PMI-aligned project management principles.
• Lead comprehensive PMP® exam prep courses and corporate project management training , including foundational and advanced concepts.
• Facilitate workshops, simulations, and group discussions to reinforce PMP content, PMBOK® knowledge, and real-world application.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and individualized feedback to ensure learner success.
• Introduce and demonstrate key project management tools such as:
• Microsoft Project
• Microsoft Planner
• Azure DevOps
• Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira)
• Smartsheet
• Tailor instruction to different learning styles and experience levels—this includes both standard PMP prep and custom corporate training engagements.
• Stay current with PMI exam updates, Agile/hybrid methodologies, and best practices in adult education.

Required Qualifications

• Active PMP® certification in good standing.
• 7+ years of experience teaching or applying PMI-based project management principles.
• Proven record of high PMP pass rates and learner satisfaction .
• Strong familiarity with the listed project management tools.
• Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with both in-person and virtual learning platforms (Zoom, Teams, LMS systems).
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Project Management, Business, or a related field.
• Must be available for on-site training delivery in Winston-Salem, NC.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering instruction for government or corporate programs .
• Experience in manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain management within the consumer goods industry, with a strong understanding of regulatory compliance and quality standards.
• Familiarity with PMI ATP materials , instructional design, and adult learning strategies.
• Additional PMI certifications (e.g., PMI-ACP, PMI-RMP) are a plus.
