Iconica is seeking a Preconstruction/Estimating Intern to join our team for summer 2025! As a Preconstruction Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with experienced Preconstruction Managers, playing a key role in bridging design and construction. You’ll gain hands-on experience in:

• Collaborating with architecture, engineering, and construction teams.
• Attending pre-bid meetings and visiting project sites.
• Reading and interpreting project specifications and construction drawings.
• Using industry-leading software, such as On-Screen Takeoff, Autodesk Assemble, Excel, Revit, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, Plan-Room, and more.
• Building and maintaining historical cost databases.
• Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to gather and evaluate quotes.
• Assisting with project schedule and budget preparation.

Qualified candidates will have the following:

• Enrollment in an Architectural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering program or Construction Management program.
• Previous internship experience in design-build or construction (preferred).
• Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities or student organizations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
• High initiative and passion for learning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
