We are seeking a Product Designer who is passionate about crafting clean, functional, and human-centered design solutions for healthcare and medical technology products.
Position SummaryThe Product Designer will be responsible for designing user experiences and interfaces across Elixir MD’s suite of healthcare platforms and applications. This role combines empathy, creativity, and technical understanding to ensure our digital products are accessible, compliant, and aligned with the company’s brand and mission.
You will collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and clinical teams to translate complex workflows into simple, elegant design solutions that support both patient care and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities· User Research & Discovery
o Conduct user research, usability testing, and interviews with clinical staff and patients.
o Develop personas and journey maps specific to healthcare environments.
o Analyze user pain points and translate findings into actionable design improvements.
· Design & Development
o Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma or similar tools.
o Design responsive, accessible interfaces that meet healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, ADA, etc.).
o Maintain and expand Elixir MD’s design system and brand consistency across all products.
· Collaboration & Implementation
o Partner with engineers, product managers, and compliance teams to bring concepts to life.
o Present design ideas and rationale to executives and stakeholders.
o Participate in design reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
· Quality & Iteration
o Evaluate product design performance using analytics, feedback, and usability testing.
o Continuously iterate designs to enhance usability, accessibility, and engagement.
o Stay current on emerging trends in medtech, UX/UI, and digital accessibility.
Qualifications· Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Human-Centered Design, UX/UI Design, or related field.
· 3–5 years of professional experience as a Product Designer, preferably in healthcare, medtech, or regulated industries .
· Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent design software.
· Strong understanding of user experience principles, accessibility (WCAG/ADA), and responsive design.
· Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and digital health privacy standards preferred.
· Excellent collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
· Strong portfolio demonstrating UX/UI design for digital products.
Skills· Empathetic and user-focused, with strong attention to detail.
· Able to balance creativity with regulatory and brand requirements.
· Excellent time management and ability to work on multiple projects.
