Program Manager III - Video Strategy & Operations Team

Location: Greenwood Village, CO (4 days on-site)

Contract Length: Long-term (Budgeted through EOY with potential extension)

Pay Rate: $62-68 per hour

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Program Manager III to join our client’s Video Strategy and Ops team. In this role, you will manage and oversee multiple complex, enterprise-wide projects, focusing on process management, incremental planning, and cross-functional collaboration across the video organization. You will play a critical role in coordinating initiatives, driving efficiency, and supporting the video team in achieving their strategic goals.

The Program Manager III will report directly to the Director of Video Product, Operations and Strategy and work alongside a diverse team of specialists, including a Data Scientist, Employee Engagement Specialist, Launch Management Specialist, and Portfolio Manager. This role will primarily focus on project intake, coaching project owners, defining scope, and ensuring adherence to established processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Ownership and Guidance:
  • Coach project owners on gathering and writing clear, actionable requirements.
  • Guide teams unfamiliar with SDLC to ensure clarity in requirements and project execution.
  • Oversee the development lifecycle of projects, ensuring milestones are met and outcomes are achieved.
  • Process Management & Improvement:
  • Manage and streamline project intake queues, ensuring projects align with broader video team goals.
  • Facilitate and lead communications to ensure all stakeholders are aligned and informed, including VP+ level leadership.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Scheduling and Coordination:
  • Coordinate meetings and prepare for portfolio reviews during enterprise planning cycles (every 10 weeks).
  • Ensure project timelines are adhered to and resources are properly allocated.
  • Training & Development:
  • Develop and deliver training sessions to internal teams on project intake processes, SDLC, and related tools.
  • Support and train project owners and teams to ensure clear understanding and effective execution of project requirements.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Manage engagement with stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction and alignment with project goals.
  • Regularly interact with senior leadership to provide visibility on project progress, risks, and milestones.
  • Tools & Technology:
  • Utilize Jira (advanced knowledge, including JQL queries and structure boards) for tracking and managing projects.
  • Leverage Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis, reporting, and presentations.
  • Exposure to Tableau and SQL is a plus.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Communication & Leadership:
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with minimal errors.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and facilitate consensus.
  • Comfortable facilitating large meetings, driving agendas, and ensuring efficient communication.
  • Project & Process Management:
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong judgment and initiative in driving projects forward while managing risks and issues.
  • Advanced skills in documenting, preparing, and delivering executive-level presentations.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Strong working knowledge of Jira (JQL, structure boards, Nexus connections).
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; intermediate proficiency with Tableau and SQL is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SDLC and software development methodologies.
  • Problem-Solving & Decision-Making:
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems under pressure, with a focus on delivering successful project outcomes.
  • Ability to coach and support teams unfamiliar with SDLC processes and methodologies.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to align project priorities and expectations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project or program management; 8+ years preferred.
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in training delivery, including the development and delivery of training content.
  • Industry Background:
  • Experience in video or telecom industries is a plus, but not required.

Core Hours:

  • Flexible hours: Core office hours require a minimum of 6 hours on-site.
  • No overtime; work should be completed during core hours.

Team Overview:

  • The Video Strategy & Operations Team supports the broader video organization by focusing on portfolio management, workforce reporting, budgeting, contractor work orders, employee engagement, and data science.
  • Key initiatives include managing incremental planning cycles (every 10 weeks), coaching teams through SDLC processes, and ensuring that projects are effectively prioritized and completed.
