Food Safety and Quality Manager
Our client headquartered in Grand Prairie, TX is in need of a Food Safety and Quality Manager on a direct hire basis.
Food Safety and Quality Manager Role:
The Food Safety and Quality Manager will maintain top-tier food safety and quality standards for large fast paced plant.
You will oversee key food defense programs and ensure operations are meet and exceed industry compliance benchmarks.
Drive and manage food safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal protocols.
Maintain top-tier certification scores and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Educate and guide teams on quality policies, best practices, and continuous improvement strategies.
Lead internal audits, oversee sanitation schedules, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Work closely with leadership, external auditors, and key stakeholders to optimize processes.
Food Safety and Quality Manager Background Profile:
3 years minimum in a leadership role within manufacturing, preferably in food distribution
Bilingual skills English and Spanish is highly preferred
Preferred certifications and experience include PCQI certification, AIB certification, and food safety audits.
Beneficial certifications include AIB Food Defense Coordinator Online Certification and FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food.
Strong grasp of food safety programs, compliance measures, and quality assurance frameworks
Comfortable using industry-related software, including warehouse management systems and reporting tools
Skilled in root cause analysis, data interpretation, and implementing corrective actions
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, OSHA regulations are all a plus
