Job Title: Clinical Research Coordinator (Registered Dietitian)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Research Coordinator (Registered Dietitian) to play a vital role in supporting clinical nutrition research. This on-site, direct-hire position involves travel between research sites in Statesville, Winston-Salem, Salisbury, and Hickory, NC . The role focuses on designing and implementing nutrition-related clinical trials, supporting study participants through medical nutrition therapy, and contributing to groundbreaking research in obesity and related fields.

Compensation:

• $70,000 – $80,000 annually, depending on experience

Work Schedule:

• Monday – Friday, standard business hours
• Travel required: Approximately 10–15% per month, with flexibility for short-notice travel based on study needs

Key Responsibilities of the Clinical Research Coordinator (Registered Dietitian):

• Design and implement nutrition-focused clinical trials, including protocols, consent materials, and dietary intervention plans
• Recruit, assess, and support participants by providing medical nutrition therapy and dietary counseling in alignment with study requirements
• Ensure strict compliance with IRB, ethical, and regulatory standards for human subjects research
• Develop evidence-based dietary recommendations informed by study outcomes
• Collaborate with investigators, clinicians, statisticians, and coordinators to integrate nutrition into overall study design
• Supervise and mentor junior research staff and dietetic interns, fostering skill development and knowledge-sharing
• Stay current on advancements in nutrition science and clinical research, applying innovative methods to trial design and analysis
• Actively contribute to obesity-related clinical trials with both dietetic and coordination responsibilities

Qualifications and Skills for the Clinical Research Coordinator (Registered Dietitian):

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required
• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience as a practicing Registered Dietitian
• Strong communication and counseling skills for working with participants and study teams
• Ability to balance clinical responsibilities with trial coordination tasks
• Flexibility and willingness to travel between multiple sites on short notice
