Job Title: Registered Nurse – ICU (Night Shift, 3x12)
Location: Saratoga Springs, NY
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care on the night shift. This role requires working 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30) and may include coverage during major holidays. The position is ideal for a skilled ICU nurse who can manage critically ill patients and collaborate effectively with the care team.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver patient-centered care in the ICU, following established protocols and standards.
Monitor, assess, and manage critically ill patients with a 1:2–1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio.
Accurately read cardiac rhythms and pass hospital-required rhythm identification testing.
Document patient care using Epic electronic charting system.
Float within skill set as needed at manager’s discretion.
Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
Active NY Registered Nurse License in hand.
Minimum 3 years of current ICU experience .
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH .
Proficient in rhythm interpretation; able to pass hospital proctored testing for rhythm accuracy.
Experience with Epic electronic medical records.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to work through major holidays as scheduled.
Flu vaccination or approved exemption required.
Preferred:
Experience in critical care float assignments.
