Job Description

:

MIKA is seeking experienced, passionate, and highly skilled Restaurant Managers to help lead our coastal Mediterranean restaurant in collaboration with chef Michael White. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for assisting the General Manager in leading all property team members in running an efficient and profitable operation, managing day-to-day operations, maintaining high service quality standards and customer satisfaction levels, ensuring the highest standard of safety and sanitation, and fostering a positive work environment with high employee morale. This role requires a hands-on leader who is self-motivated, passionate about hospitality, and has a keen eye for detail.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff members.
  • Cultivate a warm and inviting atmosphere that exceeds guest expectations – filled with genuine hospitality.
  • Ensure the restaurant is fully operational during operating hours, with a focus on genuine hospitality, efficiency, and service quality.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety within the restaurant.
  • Address and resolve guest concerns and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Monitor guest feedback and use it to continuously improve the dining experience.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Ensure that all dishes meet the restaurant's standards before being served to guests.
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring that supplies are ordered, received, and stored properly.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices, continuously striving to elevate the experience offered by the restaurant.
 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager in a high-end, fine dining establishment or similar. Opening experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Exceptional sense of genuine hospitality and how to create a warm and welcoming environment for employees and guests.
  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service, wine, and fine dining etiquette.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
  • High school diploma or GED plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to frequently lift/move 50 lbs.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
