Senior Auto Equipment Operator Per Diem Job Summary The purpose of this position is to provide a variety of services to off-site clinic areas. Specifically, services involve transportation and delivery of lab specimens, x-rays, medical records and freight on approved schedules (pre-established according to departmental policy and procedures). Receives and Delivers all that is needed for the hospital and clinics. This is a Per Diem position with variable hours and variable days.

- Experience transporting and delivering supplies, records, etc.
- Experience in maintaining multiple filing systems, records, and logistical information.
- Must be able to operate and maintain power material handling equipment and transportation vehicles.
- Skills to comprehend and convey instructions on invoices, shipping documents, control logs, inventory sheets, and other correspondences.
- Knowledge and use of basic mathematical calculations; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Skill for accurate calculations of inventory replenishment, weight, units of measure and package counts are critical in this position.
- Interpersonal skills to relate complicated systems and ideas to diverse audience.
- Knowledge of cost-effective materiel management functions of warehousing, purchasing, distribution methods, supply techniques, processing functions and product liability.
- Knowledge of basic systems used in maintaining shipping/receiving records.
Preferred Qualifications - Background in computerized as well as hard-copy information systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of policies and procedures applicable to the receiving and processing of hospital supply-related materials.
- Knowledge of University policies, procedures and standards which apply to hospital supply operations.
- Knowledge of functions related to shipping to outside agencies and the related policies and procedures regarding freight dispersal.
- Knowledge of University policies, procedures and standards which apply to hospital supply operations, is strongly desired
