Job Description

Join our team as a Senior Commercial Building Engineer and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of highend commercial properties. We are seeking an experienced professional dedicated to ensuring the operational excellence and sustainability of our buildings.

Role Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and operation of building systems including HVAC plumbing electrical and life safety systems.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure building systems operate efficiently and reliably.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors and service providers to ensure quality performance and adherence to safety standards.
• Monitor building systems and structures for performance issues and address them proactively.
• Collaborate with property management to align engineering practices with business goals.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes and regulations maintaining documentation and records accordingly.
• Manage the building energy management system to optimize consumption and reduce operational costs.
• Respond to building emergencies and work offhours or oncall as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelors or Masters in Facilities Management Engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in building engineering and maintenance in a commercial setting.
• Strong knowledge of building systems energy management and maintenance best practices.
• Proven ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with local building codes and environmental regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills capable of working with diverse teams.

Preferred Skills

• Certification such as LEED GA CEM or BOMA education programs is a plus.
• Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Strong understanding of sustainability practices in building operations.
