Job Description

We are searching for an experienced Electric Motor Mechanic to join a rapidly growing team just south of Austin, TX.

This individual will perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on various electric motors, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Provide technical expertise, mentor junior technicians, and maintain safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair & Maintenance: Troubleshoot, repair, reassemble, and test NEMA and above NEMA frame AC motors, with a preference for DC motor experience.
• Technical Expertise: Utilize diagnostic tools to detect electrical and mechanical issues, ensuring proper alignment and balancing.
• Leadership & Training: Mentor junior technicians, promote safety, and foster a productive work environment.
• Quality Control: Ensure repairs meet safety and industry standards while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate repair status, recommendations, and address concerns professionally.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow company safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years in electric motor repair, with expertise in NEMA and above NEMA AC motors (DC motor knowledge preferred).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in motor repair, rewinding, balancing, and alignment.
• Certifications: Motor repair or electrical certifications preferred but not required.
• Problem-Solving & Teamwork: Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
• Communication: Ability to convey technical information clearly to customers and team members.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of automation and motor control systems.
• Experience with industrial or commercial motors.
• Proficiency with motor testing and diagnostic tools.
