HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

Responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks involved in the shipping and receiving of materials, supplies and equipment. This position may require unscheduled overtime and off- shift hours as well as material handling services, pickups and / or deliveries at Ferrotec customer or supplier sites.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

SHIPPING/RECEIVING

• Inspects and accepts / rejects deliveries; verifies count of incoming material; and performs data entry of all incoming material into the computer system.
• Delivers incoming material and distributes paperwork for incoming shipments to appropriate departments and personnel.
• Utilizes appropriate procedures in packing materials for shipment to include carton / crate, proper paperwork, labels, etc.
• Processes shipments utilizing the appropriate carrier such as UPS or FedEx and arranges pick-up with appropriate carriers as necessary.
• Prepares bills of lading (Required Shipping Documents) where appropriate, runs the UPS daily reports, and maintains organized files of Domestic/Export shipment information in order to track and trace shipments as necessary.
• Initiates and maintains strict lot trace control in incoming and outgoing materials.
• This position requires cross training and performing work in various capacities including I-Prep, material handling and Stockroom activities.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.

INVENTORY

• Examines, counts, sorts items, and prepares kitting packages for assembly production.
• Checks all items received in the stockroom for proper identification and counts, reporting any discrepancies to supervisor or lead.
• Fills requests and orders from internal and external customers and ensures that customers get satisfactory service in inventory support.
• Maintains all stock areas in a neat, clean, and safe working condition.

MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN

• Works under direct supervision and selects from written instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks in our Clean and Bag area.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs
• Requires experience in PC use and the ability to work well with others in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
• Requires safety shoes and safety glasses

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Occasionally moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
• Occasionally adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
• Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.
• Constantly repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Occasionally operating machinery and/or power tools.
• Constantly assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
• Constant exposure to low temperatures and high temperatures
• Constant light to medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds.
• Occasional heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds or more.
• Prolonged use of computer monitors.
