JOB TITLE : Social Media Content Coordinator 

REPORTS TO : Senior Manager, Social Media 

DEPARTMENT : Marketing 

OVERVIEW 

Our social team is growing! We are hiring a Social Media Content Coordinator to support our social team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Social Media, this role will be responsible for partnering cross-functionally and helping manage day-to-day social postings, assisting in community, pulling statistics and helping to create best-in-class social storytelling. 

The ideal candidate is a social-savvy content creator with a deep understanding of TikTok and Instagram, passionate about beauty, trends, and creative storytelling. They should have a strong aesthetic eye, be immersed in the ever-evolving social landscape, and understand platform algorithms, best practices, and viral content strategies. This role requires hands-on content creation, including filming and editing high-quality, engaging videos directly from a phone, sourcing and curating UGC, and planning shoots to capture compelling, on-brand moments. They will be responsible for tracking trends, managing the brand’s TikTok and Instagram content calendar, and working closely with Marketing to develop innovative, social-first creative that drives engagement and brand awareness. Additionally, they should be comfortable analyzing content performance, providing insights based on key metrics, and using data to optimize future content strategies. 

  RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assist with day-to-day content creation, from developing storyboards to shooting and producing iPhone content (Reels, TikTok videos, behind-the-scenes footage). 
  • Lead end-to-end production of short-form video content across platforms, including TikTok & Reels. 
  • Help maintain a dynamic and organized social calendar, scheduling posts across Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest. 
  • Ensure all social content including short form videos and photography deliverables align with brand strategy and timelines. 
  • Plan and execute content shoots, capturing both product-focused and lifestyle content that aligns with brand storytelling. 
  • Assist in daily posting across social platforms including but not limited to the brands Instagram feed, Instagram Stories and TikTok. 
  • Source, organize, and curate UGC that aligns with the brand's aesthetic and voice. 
  • Work closely with the Social, Brand and Influencer teams to strengthen community connection. 
  • Stay on top of social media trends, TikTok challenges, and viral content ideas to ensure the brand remains culturally relevant. 
  • Partner with Marketing, Creative and Influencer teams to execute campaigns and content shoots that drive engagement and brand awareness. 
  • Assist with ad hoc marketing projects including marketing photo shoots, community management, brand events, etc. 

REQUIREMENTS 

  • 2+ years’ experience in social media or community management. Beauty and start up experience is a plus! 
  • Passion for content, skincare, beauty and building community 
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills 
  • Must be comfortable on camera and filming content 
  • Understands Google Suite including Slides, Sheets, etc. Adobe Suite/Figma experience is a plus! 
  • Works well cross-functionally and experience with CX is a plus! 
  • Experience with editing tools like Premier Pro and/or CapCut (or similar). 
  • Experience with DASH Hudson or previous social data tracking platforms 
  • Eager, can-do positive attitude 
  • Self-starter—able to execute upon multiple projects and against tight deadlines 
  • Ability to think outside of the box and create unique social and marketing strategies 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills 
  • Collaborative, open minded and able to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment 
  • Must be available for a minimum of two days in-office in Los Angeles 
  • Must be based in Los Angeles
