Job Summary

Shady Rays has an exciting marketing opportunity for a Social Media Specialist. This individual will be responsible for developing the organic social media content plan, social media engagement and driving increased social media following under the direction of the Brand Partnerships Manager. The ideal candidate has a passion for social media and community building.

Responsibilities

• Curate a monthly organic social media plan for Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, X based off the Shadyrays Marketing Calendar and brand objectives and in collaboration with Shady Rays Brand team. Follow brand guidelines to ensure authenticity to Shady Rays brand and values.
• Work collaboratively with our in-house creative department, external content creators, and external creators/partners to source content to achieve social media plan. Most work will occur as a remote position but requirement to come into office to work with content creators. Work with resources to not always have to create content yourself but ability to assist here as wanted or in local on-site content creation as needed.
• Identify current trends/strategies and implement them to optimize reach and drive engagement.
• Ability to be flexible and react to new opportunities.
• Track and analyze social media content to best understand what does and does not work with our audience on each platform. Utilize this data to inform brand social media strategy.
• Stay up to date on Shady Rays communities to effectively engage in community management tasks and interact with Shady Rays partners authentically across social media platforms in collaboration with Brand Partnerships Manager.
• Assist in brainstorming and development of brand content and storytelling. Examples: content series, capturing brand moments (events, onsite activations, partnership), partnership giveaways, product teasers and launches.
• Potential for domestic travel to partner events/ Shady Rays activations to capture brand experiences with behind-the-scenes content, social media takeovers, story content, live posting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant field.
• 2-5 years in social media experience for a brand
• Prior work with Direct to Consumer Brands a plus
• Local to Louisville, KY a plus
• Experience capturing photo and video preferred
• In depth knowledge of social media (Meta, Tiktok, Youtube)
• Strong data analysis skills. Ability to aggregate & analyze data to drive data driven decision making.
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Technologically adept
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
