Salary: $120,000 – $200,000 + Equity (0.05% – 0.20%)

Our client is a fast-growing, venture-backed technology startup modernizing one of the largest industries in the world — construction. This $12T global market still runs on siloed software, much of which is decades old. The company is building a modern API infrastructure and intuitive user interfaces to help construction software vendors and builders automate workflows, eliminate redundant data entry, and bridge the gap between job sites and back offices.

Founded by a team with a decade of collaboration and multiple successful ventures, the company has already secured $6M in funding and built a high-caliber engineering team. Now, they’re seeking entrepreneurial engineers ready to solve complex systems challenges and play a key role in scaling their technology.

What You Will Do

• Design and implement robust, scalable backend systems that unify fragmented and legacy construction data.
• Build new APIs and infrastructure to power both internal tools and third-party integrations.
• Own projects end-to-end — from system design through implementation and deployment.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and fellow engineers to deliver value quickly and iterate based on feedback.
• Contribute to a strong engineering culture by promoting best practices, mentorship, and code quality.

Ideal Candidate Background

• 0–4 years of experience as a backend or full-stack software engineer.
• Strong fundamentals in software design and system architecture.
• Comfortable operating with high autonomy in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, CDK, EC2, Redis, Postgres).
• Demonstrated ability to simplify complex technical systems.
• Excited to work onsite in San Francisco five days per week.
• A self-starter mindset: high ownership, low ego, and a team-first attitude.

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from a top-tier U.S. or Canadian university.
• Experience at early-stage tech startups (Seed to Series B).
• Demonstrated excellence through academic, professional, or personal projects.
• Strong internship/co-op experience if a recent graduate.
• Previous experience shipping code in high-scale, production environments.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive base salary of $120,000 – $200,000
• Equity ranging from 0.05% – 0.20%
