Job Description

Leading Insurtech SAAS is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join a small but talented team that is very good at execution. You will be working on AI driven features, data analytics, and modern UI that will help our customers get to the next level.

NOTE: Although we will consider fully remote candidates, we will strongly prefer candidates that can commute to the office on a hybrid basis. No recruiters, contractors, international, or C2C candidates. Unfortunately, we will not be able to sponsor any work Visas.

Job Responsibilities

• Write well-designed, testable code.
• Write unit tests to support existing and new code.
• Review code written by other engineers and provide meaningful feedback.
• Provide accurate time estimates to complete work items.
• Document and maintain existing code base.
• Analyze provided requirements and evaluate user feedback.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
• Provide meaningful feedback to product and engineering management.
• Participate in all agile ceremonies, including demos of completed features.
• Work as part of a team to develop new features and maintain current systems.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of 3 years of full-time experience as a software engineer
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or successful completion of coding bootcamp
• Strong, proficiency with JavaScript (React.js), PHP (Laravel), and SQL
• Proficiency with Git
• Good understanding of DevOps principles and processes
• Good understanding of software and cloud architecture design
• Good knowledge of software engineering principles and processes
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills to build partnerships.

Preferred:

• Experience working with React Native in additional to React.js and Laravel is strongly preferred.
• Experience working with Jira/Confluence, Aha, and HubSpot
