Positions Available: 3 Full-Time Positions

• Middle School: 1 Position
• High School: 2 Positions
• Work Hours: 7:45 AM – 3:15 PM (IEPs in the afternoon may extend the workday)

Job Overview

Cutler-Orosi Joint Unified School District is seeking three dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. We have one opening at the middle school and two openings at the high school . Our Special Education Teachers provide academic intervention, collaborate with general education teachers, and support students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach academic intervention classes for 4 periods within a 7-period day.
• Collaborate with general education teachers for two periods to support student learning and inclusion.
• Utilize one period for contractual prep time.
• High School Positions Only: Deliver transition skills lessons as part of intervention classes to prepare students for post-secondary success.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) , ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Conduct assessments and track student progress toward IEP goals.
• Engage in regular communication with parents, support staff, and administration.
• Attend IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid California Education Specialist Credential (Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe).
• Experience in academic interventions, special education collaboration, and IEP development preferred.
• Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and inclusive education practices.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with students, families, and staff.
