Job Description

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) for a full-time position within school districts in the Houston, TX area for the 2025-2026 school year.

Position Overview:

This role offers an exciting opportunity to support students in their speech and language development within a school-based setting. New graduates are welcome to apply, and district supervision hours will be provided to help fulfill certification requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including:

  • Texas State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders or a related field
  • Completion of an approved SLPA program
  • Ability to obtain necessary school district clearances (background check, fingerprinting, etc.)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of speech and language therapy programs under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Work with students individually or in groups to support speech and language development
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and the therapy team to ensure student success
  • Adapt activities to meet students’ individual needs
