Speech Therapy Assistant (SLP-A)

Position Overview:

The Speech Therapy Assistant (SLP-A) works under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to help children improve communication skills. This role involves implementing therapy plans, conducting activities, and creating a safe, supportive environment that fosters language development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in delivering individualized and group speech therapy sessions
• Record and maintain accurate session data and progress notes
• Prepare therapy materials and maintain an organized environment
• Collaborate with supervising SLP, families, and team members to support treatment goals

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences or related field
• SLP Assistant certification (as required by state)
• Experience working with children preferred
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a positive attitude

Compensation:

$65,000 – $75,000 annually (flexible based on experience)
