Supplier Quality Engineer
We are partnering with a well-established manufacturer to hire a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead supplier quality initiatives and ensure compliance with internal standards. This position acts as a key link between purchasing, manufacturing, quality, and external vendors, focusing on process improvements, quality assurance, and supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain supplier quality systems across the supply base
Conduct audits of new and current suppliers to evaluate quality capabilities
Guide suppliers through new product quality planning processes
Support corrective actions related to supplier quality issues
Implement improvement plans using Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality tools
Review technical drawings and specifications to align supplier expectations
Validate production part approval submissions for new product launches
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
Minimum 3 years in supplier quality or manufacturing engineering
Familiarity with quality frameworks such as APQP, PPAP, root cause analysis
Experience conducting supplier and process audits
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF standards preferred
Willingness to travel up to 30% as needed
