Position Summary

New River Electrical is searching for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of recruitment best practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers. This position will report to the Executive Vice President of Enterprise Shared Services in Granville, Ohio.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Consult with hiring managers to understand the requirements, duties, and qualifications desired for the specified vacant position(s).
  • Draft job descriptions and standardized interview questions for hiring managers.
  • Identify and manage recruiting firms and agencies.
  • Collect and analyze data to maintain current understanding of fair and competitive market salaries, candidate availability, and demand for candidates in particular fields.
  • Develop, refine, and implement recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
  • Develop, refine, and implement recruitment processes and workflows.
  • Post and manage open positions and source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, and networking events.
  • Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and evaluate candidate through Predictive Index to assess candidate qualifications.
  • Coordinate and conduct in-person interviews with candidates.
  • Check candidates references and credentials, verifying experience and backgrounds.
  • Manage the offer process, including negotiating salary and benefits packages in coordination with the hiring manager.
  • Build and maintain relationships with candidates and hiring managers to ensure a positive recruitment experience.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition.
  • Organize and attend job fairs, campus events, and other networking opportunities.
  • Follow up with hiring managers after the interview process to determine whether a placement can be made; collect feedback when placement is unsuccessful.
  • Arrange meeting locations, travel, and/or accommodations for applicants and hiring managers when necessary.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is preferred.
  • SHRMs Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Experience with VISTA Software, MS Planner, and/or Smartsheet is a plus.
  • Advance knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) tools is preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with aptitude in conducting interviews.

  • Strong organizational/prioritization skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with others (internally and externally).
  • The willingness and desire to work independently, as well as collaboratively, and to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to follow policies and procedures and look for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to quickly grasp new technologies.
  • Knowledge and experience in the construction industry, preferred.

Travel

There may be occasional limited travel for off-site meetings, events or other business matters.
