Job Description

PMC Commercial Interiors, a Best In Class Haworth dealer serving the Carolinas, is seeking a Technical Sales Executive to join a fast paced, dynamic AV & technology team. We are seeking a driven producer who can initiate and close deals, develop and maintain long-term business relationships, and grow our AV market share across the region.

The individual selected for this opportunity will develop and identify new business opportunities and grow existing accounts to contribute to the growth of our business and their career.

Responsibilities include:

  • Actively uncover and win new Audio Visual / Technology Solution opportunities across PMC sales teams (Office Furniture, Architectural Products (Walls), and AV/Technology Solutions) as well as the general marketplace.
  • Building market share by locating, developing, networking, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships with target accounts and key influencers.
  • Provide product solutions that meet clients' functional, aesthetic, and budgetary requirements.
  • Collaborate with PMC's technology & sales team members and clients on space planning, product selection, and managing clients’ needs.
  • Serve as the initial key contact with new customers and establish strong relationships with decision-makers within these companies.
  • Collaborate with customers to discover, diagnose, and solidify their technology needs, and uniquely positioning PMC.
  • Conveying PMC values and brand, positioning PMC to develop and build long-lasting relationships.
  • Continually expanding product and job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
  • Lead the preparation of proposals/bids.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key influencers in our marketplace, with the goal of being in a top-of-mind position – End Users, CRE, PM’s, A&D, GC’s, etc.
  • Increase brand and capability awareness.
  • Develop design intent, Scope of Work, product recommendations, develop pricing, generate proposals, and successfully configure orders for procurement and implementation success.
  • Interface with the operations management to assure complete communication of all client expectations.
  • Follow up with the client to assure an exceptional client experience.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the construction process and ability to interface with different trades.
  • Proactively communicate and escalate issues/obstacles to allow quick adaptation or mitigation to minimize timeline disruption or costs.
  • Identify opportunities to convert large customer sales from our competitors.
  • Prepare brand or product specific presentations.
  • Identify value-added growth opportunities within PMC to help the needs of the marketplace based on your conversations with customers and influencers.
  • Collaborate and partner with the other PMC team members according to the client and project needs, with the goal of facilitating a smooth transition for project delivery.
  • Track opportunities and make necessary updates using PMC’s CRM system.
  • Partner with PMC/Haworth team on strategic events to leverage our showroom.

Qualifications and Skills include:

  • Ability to build strong networks in and outside the organization.
  • Detail orientation and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
  • Team player that takes initiative and drives results.
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, prospecting, and closing skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Experience in the commercial furniture industry a plus.
