Reports to: Head Professional

Employment Dates: Approx. May – December (flexible) with the possibility of future seasonal work.

Job Summary: The Seawane Club in Hewlett, NY, seeks outside service valet staff to assist club operations by creating an excellent experience for members and guests. This includes greeting guests upon arrival, providing customer service by parking and retrieving vehicles, answering questions, and loading and unloading golf bags where appropriate. This job requires a strong work ethic and an attitude that exudes positive energy and enthusiasm to enhance the customer experience. Some manual labor and lifting golf bags are needed. Golf knowledge is a plus but not required.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome members and guests to the club and offer professional valet services
• Accommodate members and guests by opening doors and assisting with golf clubs or other heavy items
• Direct traffic in the parking area as needed and assist guests in entering and leaving the parking lot
• Answer questions regarding golf, food and beverage, directions, and other club amenities and services
• Collect and accurately label keys belonging to customers to ensure their proper return
• Park member's and guests' vehicles in predetermined areas within the parking lot, following all traffic laws
• Operate vehicles safely and responsibility
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with the golf team, clubhouse team, and receptionist when appropriate

• Demonstrate high levels of Professionalism and Leadership
• Engaging personality who will take the initiative to learn and grow
• Must possess a positive attitude and can work with a variety of people and collaborate with coworkers efficiently and effectively
• Must be detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities and multiple customers in a fast-paced environment
• Candidates MUST have reliable transportation and be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand on their feet for long periods
• Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and complying with the Company Dress Code Policy
• Proven safe driver and clean driving records are essential
• Valid personal car insurance is required
• Ability to communicate professionally
• Accountability and personal integrity are essential as the nature of the position allows access to a customer’s personal and private information
• Experience driving vehicles with both manual and automatic transmission
• Organizational skills are necessary to recall the location of vehicles and their appropriate keys quickly
