TGH Ventures is seeking a Venture Capital Intern to join its investment team. The Intern will be an integral part of the venture investment process, assisting the team in evaluating new health care startup opportunities, conducting extensive market research and competitive analysis, supporting due diligence efforts and more. This intern will work closely with the TGH Ventures investment team and will have the opportunity to learn about venture capital, health care, business development, and entrepreneurship.

Firm Overview:

TGH Ventures is Tampa General Hospital’s corporate venture fund and innovation arm. We are investing out of our inaugural fund, making minority equity investments in emerging health care companies that are redefining the care experience for clinicians and patients. We seek to partner, financially and strategically, with leading entrepreneurs and management teams that are solving health care’s most pressing issues.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Assist in the identification and evaluation of new startup opportunities in the healthcare.

· Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis.

· Participate in due diligence processes

· Support the development and presentation of investment theses and recommendations.

· Coordinate with entrepreneurs, researchers, and other relevant stakeholders

· Contribute to internal operations such as deal flow tracking and portfolio management.

Qualifications:

· Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Healthcare, or related field

· Strong background in research and business writing

· Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills

· Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

· Excellent communication and presentation skills
