THE POSITION: We are looking for a Wireless Tower Climber. The pay range we offer is $42,000 to $58,000 per year. We offer a generous compensation plan based on industry standards and your experience.

Technicians are paid their base hourly rate as mileage compensation (50 miles = 1 hour).


RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Wireless Tower Technician, you will maintain and repair the customer's growing 5G wireless network. You will be a part of a work crew that will travel to cellular tower sites and perform work at ground locations (working with electric components) and tower top locations (climbing up to 500 feet).
Complete work on towers up to 500 feet high while always focusing on safety.
Collaborate with network operations and construction operation teams.
Install and maintain HughesNet Gen 5 satellite broadband equipment that serves as the backhaul for some tower sites.
Assist with the build-out of Multichannel Video and Data Distribution Service (MVDDS) technology (This is the first mass deployment of this type of system in the US; the system uses 25 MHz sections of bandwidth in the 12.2 - 12.7 GHz frequency range to transmit signal terrestrially).
Up to 100% travel is required.
Ability to track daily duties and time.
Essential Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to use a computer mouse, keyboard, and other equipment typically found in an office or call center environment.
The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to toy with, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
May frequently lift and/or move up to 80 pounds and may be required to lift up to 125 pounds for short distances and/or move bulky objects.
Must meet the maximum weight requirements of 250 pounds and maximum 60-inch waist size to safely use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as the required harness.
The employee is frequently required to wear up to 30 pounds of PPE and tools and continuously wear up to 30 pounds of PPE and tools while on the tower.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk to other employees and hear the speech from other employees.
The employee will need to regularly interact and communicate with others, including but not limited to face-to-face communications, over-the-phone communications, and chat messaging communications.
The employee must comprehend the subject of the communication and take appropriate action if necessary.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus, reading and interpreting documents and instructions, and frequent identification of letters, numbers, and symbols in a technology environment.

Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
3-5 years of experience working on communication towers surpassing 500 feet high is preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
Work authorization (required).
Ability to pass a pre-employment screen (drug, background, and driving).
Obtain and ability to maintain industry certifications including but not limited to RF Safety Certificate, OSHA 10 / OSHA 30, NWSA, and CPR / First Aid.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Read and interpret documents such as operating/maintenance/procedure instructions and safety rules.
Write routine reports and business correspondence.
Speak effectively before employees of the organization, whether individually or in groups.
Operate efficiently between multiple computer applications and be proficient with Windows 7 or higher.
