Title: Advertising Copywriter (Retail & Store)

Glendale CA 91201 OR Orlando, FL

Duration: 12 Months Contract

Must haves:

1) Must be able to work independently.

2) Must know how to prioritize

3) Must have copywriting knowledge 3-5 years

4) Product working copy -important to have someone who has worked in the retail world. (team supports clothing, toys, accessories)

Description/Comment:

The person in this role will act as a copywriter for all brand assets across client Store and Outlet touchpoints, inclusive of web, mobile app and other digital and print products.

Responsibilities

• Apply brand voice guidelines across all client Store platforms Own copy message for assigned campaigns and initiatives
• Apply SEO practices and Mobile first approach to copy writing style
• Work closely with Merchandisers, Graphic Designers to craft a cohesive message
• Adhere to timelines for all relevant projects and initiatives
• Conduct regular market research to draw inspiration

Execution

• Apply global voice guidelines and creative direction principles in x-channel work
• Assist in editing and proofreading copy to ensure that the message speaks to the target audience, is consistent, grammatically correct, adheres to voice guidelines
• Write copy that is authentic to each film and character
• Develop and write headlines, sub-headlines, calls to action for homepages, landing pages, special features and promotions
• Provide copy for social posts that is leveraged in both organic and paid campaigns for Pinterest, Facebook, X and Instagram
• Write product copy in a storytelling manner using ownable language
• Highlight features and benefits of our product to create client difference within the marketplace

Leadership

• Write copy in a way that seamlessly blends marketing, editorial and technical information
• Partner with Buying team to ensure product descriptions message the unique qualities of product

Cross-Functional Partnership

• Partner with creative team members to execute assigned campaigns
• Collaborate with Buyers to communicate accurate and compelling product information in a storytelling manner
• Regularly attend internal partner team meetings and reviews

Basic Qualifications

• Knowledge of creative development and website production process
• Familiarity with Entertainment & Media characters and stories
• Familiarity with client brand, Park attractions and history
• Proficiency in all Microsoft office productivity software, SFCC, Jira and Teams
• Bachelor's degree in related field (advertising, writing, media communications

Required Education

Bachelors, or equivalent work experience
