Job Description

Motive Companies is looking for a Billing & Collections Manager to take the lead on all things billing, AR, and collections across our family of companies. This role is all about ensuring accuracy, driving efficiency, and helping the business maintain healthy cash flow. You’ll manage a team, streamline processes, resolve disputes, and bring insights to senior leadership through reporting and analytics.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and develop the AR & Billing team
  • Oversee invoicing, cash application, and AR aging
  • Drive collection strategies and partner with Sales, Operations, and Service
  • Manage invoice disputes and work cross-functionally to resolve issues
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
  • Provide reporting and analysis on KPIs, trends, and cash forecasts
  • Maintain compliance and support audits

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in billing/collections, ideally in distribution, construction, or manufacturing
  • Proven leadership experience managing AR or billing teams
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Effective communicator with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a high-growth, high-volume environment
  • Willingness to travel between offices in Anaheim, Tustin, Corona, and Fountain Valley
