Senior Revit Electrical Designer – BIM & Drafting Leadership

Locations: Pflugerville, TX , Sterling, VA , Hanover , MD

Type: Full-Time | Hybrid Eligible | Up to 20% Travel

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead the creation and coordination of detailed electrical models using Revit across large-scale design projects
• Develop and manage project-specific families, views, sheets, schedules, filters , and work sets
• Interpret 2D plans, both digital and printed, and transform them into 3D models with precision
• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and cross-discipline model teams to ensure project goals are met
• Use Autodesk Navisworks and Design Review to analyze and coordinate models
• Manage Revit models, maintain file health, and push the boundaries of BIM workflows and digital collaboration
• Assign tasks, oversee schedules, and ensure high-quality deliverables from model teams
• Prepare and transmit digital documentation, manage priorities, and support cross-functional teams with clarity and precision

What You’ll Need

• Associate degree in Computerized Drafting or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical drafting and systems design
• Expert-level proficiency in Revit with a strong portfolio to match
• Strong understanding of BIM workflows, file sharing, and project execution practices
• Fluent with Autodesk Navisworks , Design Review , and 3D layout tools
• Proven leadership skills — capable of managing teams and driving deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Self-starter with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and shifting priorities
• Willingness to travel up to 20%

Nice to Have

• Experience with Oracle software
• Ability to import external files (e.g., spreadsheets, images, Word docs) into Revit
• Experience operating plotters, printers, and reproduction equipment
• Familiarity with 3D coordination across trades and disciplines
• Advanced Revit skills: parametric families, shared parameters, complex geometry
• Experience setting up projects and leading Revit model execution from start to finish
• Knowledge of file-sharing platforms and secure document posting
• Understanding of confidentiality and intellectual property protection protocols
