Customs Entry Writer – Buffalo, NY

Full-Time | On-site | $70,000 per year (commensurate with experience)

We’re seeking an experienced Customs Entry Writer to join our growing international logistics team in Buffalo, NY . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in U.S. import regulations, customs brokerage, and international freight documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and process import entries in compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations.
• Classify goods according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTSUS).
• Communicate with importers, carriers, and government agencies to ensure timely clearance and delivery of shipments.
• Verify documentation for accuracy, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
• Resolve any customs holds or issues efficiently and professionally.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all entries comply with current trade laws and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in U.S. customs brokerage or import operations.
• Strong understanding of customs regulations, tariff classification, and valuation.
• Experience with ABI systems and major entry-writing software preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
