Corrections LPN / LVN - Travel Position Location: Asheville, NC Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 8 weeks Shift: 3x12s Rotating Pay: $1447.20/week Completion Bonus: Up to $3390 total. (You will receive $1130 after the successful completion of each of your first 3 contracts with us) Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and security-minded Corrections LPN/LVN to provide essential primary healthcare and urgent care support within a correctional facility. This role involves working a demanding 36/48 hour rotating schedule, which ensures coverage every other weekend. The LPN/LVN will be primarily responsible for medication administration (medication pass), initial patient assessments, chronic care monitoring, and responding to medical needs under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician. Independence, swift assessment skills, and strict adherence to security protocols are essential. Key Responsibilities:

• Work a 36/48 hour rotating schedule, which requires coverage every other weekend. Shifts are 12 hours (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM).
• Accurately and efficiently perform high-volume medication passes to the inmate population on schedule.
• Conduct patient triage, document vital signs, assist with sick call visits, and provide chronic disease monitoring and patient education.
• Strictly adhere to all facility security protocols, policies, and procedures. No cell phones are permitted while on duty.
• Work under the supervision of the facility RNs and medical providers to ensure coordinated, continuous care.
• Participate in anticipated on-the-job training/orientation schedule upon arrival.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience, preferably in a correctional, long-term care, or high-volume primary care/med-surg setting.
• Must be comfortable working in a secured, non-traditional healthcare environment.
• Scrub Colors: Any color except brown, neon, or maroon.
• COVID vaccine and recent TB test are required.
