Data Analyst

Cincinnati, OH – Hybrid

6-12 Month W2 Contract

$35+/Hour

Calculated Hire is looking for an associate Data Analyst for our retail client in Cincinnati, OH. This individual would be responsible for analyzing large datasets to extract insights and drive efficiency in store operations.

Job Description

• Assist with the maintenance of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reporting functions.
• Gather Retail Operations data from multiple databases, platforms, stakeholders, and 3rd party vendors to complete analyze.
• Transform large data sets through data wrangling, exploratory data analysis, and predictive modeling.
• Leverage Power BI (and other data visualization tools) to build and maintain custom reports and dashboards to reveal trends and correlations in large data sets.
• Implement row level security in the Power BI (and other data visualization tools) to enable secured viewing of the reports for designated job levels and locations.
• Identify opportunities to enhance reporting capabilities and improve processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the data needs to execute department and enterprise-wide strategic objectives and initiatives.
• Identify and communicate any data-related issues and recommendations to the business owner, manager, and the team.
• Provide data insights and solutions to leaders to drive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Standardize and solidify data processes and quality
• Assist in developing business reporting
• Increase data availability, standardization and automation processes
• Problem solve and investigate issues
• Participate in all phases of system testing Work successfully in an Agile Project across multiple feature and component teams
• Complete estimates and work plans in Program Increments (PI) Meetings as appropriate for design, development, implementation and rollout tasks

Desired Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study and 2+ years of professional experience; Master’s degree preferred
• Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and statistical modeling
• Strong experience with SQL for database querying and management
• Expertise in PowerBI, with a particular focus on DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating complex calculations and data visualizations
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical thinking to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights
• Innovative mindset to develop creative solutions and improve data processes
