Business Systems Analyst – Data Warehouse

Location: Philadelphia, PA (Onsite 3 days/week – must be local to PA, NJ, or DE prior to start)

About the Role

We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join our Data Warehouse team. This role is critical in bridging business needs with technical solutions by documenting requirements, designing data mapping specifications, and supporting the development of ETL applications.

The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in SQL, data profiling, and requirements documentation, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable deliverables for technical teams. This position is well-suited for a detail-oriented analyst who thrives in a collaborative environment and is comfortable working with both business stakeholders and technical data teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements; create BRDs, FRDs, and mapping documents for ETL development.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries across multiple tables for data analysis, profiling, and validation.
• Collaborate with data modelers to define table designs and source-to-target mappings.
• Support testing, production readiness checks, and post-deployment validation to ensure accuracy and integrity of data solutions.
• Provide weekend/off-hours support when necessary for production releases.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring requirements are well understood and technical deliverables meet business needs.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong data profiling and analysis expertise.
• Advanced SQL skills (complex queries, multi-table joins, performance tuning).
• Proven experience creating functional requirements, data mappings, and documentation.
• Excellent verbal, written, and active listening skills for stakeholder engagement.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience in data warehousing environments.
• Background in healthcare or health insurance industries.
