Location: Van Nuys, CA (On-site) and Lancaster, CA (On-site)

Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday (occasional weekend hours)

Compensation: Based on experience and qualifications

Pacific West Academy (PWA)is a premier vocational school specializing in Executive Protection and security training. We seek a dedicated, enthusiastic, and adaptable Instructor to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to train the next generation of professionals entering the protective services field.

Currently, operations are based in Van Nuys, CA. By the end of the year, we will be teaching out of Lancaster, CA. We are looking to bring someone on who is willing to make this move with us when the time comes. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction across multiple modules in our Certified Executive Security Specialist (CESS) program
• Provide hands-on, scenario-based training using industry-standard techniques and technology
• Facilitate discussions and skill development with professionalism and a student-centered approach
• Assist in student evaluations and provide feedback on progress and performance
• Support a safe and respectful learning environment
• Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to continuously improve training delivery
• Eventually take ownership over portions of the program and other educational needs
• Manage, track, and order the necessary supplies for the academy and program
• Manage student lodging
• Occasionally assist with brief weekend training needs, as required
• Other relevant duties as assigned

• The ability to follow curriculum and safety protocols with consistency

Qualifications:

• Must have an  active California BSIS Guard Card
• Must have an  active California BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit
• Prior instructional or teaching experience is  preferred , but not required
• Experience in Executive Protection, law enforcement, military, or related fields is highly valued
