Grants Manager (PT)

Purpose: The Grants Manager is responsible for implementing and managing major steps in the grant lifecycle to ensure continuity and growth of the Crisis Center’s institutional funding, including funding research, grant writing, administration and compliance, and monitoring and evaluation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Funding Research

  • Conduct targeted research to identify and evaluate potential grants from local, state, and federal government agencies, private foundations, corporations, and similar entities.

Grant Proposals

  • Collaborate with the Crisis Center's administrative team and department leaders to understand program needs and objectives, identify funding priorities, and gather necessary data and information for proposal development.
  • Develop comprehensive grant proposals, including project descriptions, budgets, timelines, and evaluation plans.

Grant Management

  • Prepare, submit, and frequently monitor compliant grant and funding applications.
  • Keep and maintain accurate records of all grant applications, submissions, and outcomes.

Relationship Building

  • Cultivate relationships and maintain regular communication with funders, grant-making organizations, and other stakeholders.

Reporting and Compliance

  • Prepare and submit accurate grant reports in a timely manner.
  • Continuously evaluate reporting requirements to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Maintain collaboration with program staff to collect relevant data and information for reporting purposes.

Working Relationships:

  • Reports directly to Director of Development with a dotted line to the Executive Director.
  • Reports periodically to the Crisis Center Board of Directors.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Working at a desk for extended periods of time
  • Extensive use of computers
  • Working in an office setting
  • Onsite work will be required with an option for a hybrid work schedule at times

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as nonprofit management, business administration, social work, or public administration, a minimum of three years of relevant experience in grant or funding administration within a non-profit.
  • Proven experience in grant writing and management, preferably in the nonprofit sector or crisis center environment. Strong understanding of the grant application process, including research, proposal development, and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize information from a variety of sources.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Proficient in relevant software applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, grant management systems, and databases.
  • Knowledgeable of the Crisis Center or mental health field is desirable.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of the Crisis Center.

This is a part-time position with an hourly rate starting at $25/hour, commensurate with experience.
