HR Consultant to join our team.
Key Details: Pay: $90K-$110k (check out our benefits below; fully paid premiums for employees and families!)

Location: We work from our home offices, as well as our co-working space, and onsite with our clients.
Schedule: Monday-Friday; 40+ hours per week; Regular business hours with some flexibility

What You'll Do: As a high-level Consultant, you will be a strategic partner for clients, supporting them with everything HR; from HR strategy to getting granular with job descriptions and handbook reviews, so they can focus on other elements of their business. Each day brings its own unique projects and to-dos, but you can count on lots of pivoting, adapting, and getting to help clients overcome obstacles.
Your days could include:
- Meeting with owners/leaders to gain insight on their HR business operations.
- Explaining contracts for consulting services through initial Discovery Calls and sending out Scope of Work Agreements; communicating context for scopes.
- Working closely with client leadership teams to define organization initiatives related to HR, in all areas of the employee lifecycle, and putting together a tangible project roadmap or support schedule roadmap to meet defined objectives.
- Supporting with all areas in the employee lifecycle, including handbooks, job descriptions, creating inclusive cultures, talent development, employee engagement, benefits design and support, performance communication, onboarding and offboarding, escalated employee relations, HR compliance, internal and market compensation analyses; as well as project managing other team members as appropriate.
- Advising clients on best practice and compliance solutions in tricky HR situations, utilizing internal and external compliance resources.
- Delegating (as appropriate) to our HR project support team, channel experts, and other HR Consultants to ensure that client timelines and billable hours goals are met.
- Partnering with TCR Recruitment, Training and Background Check team members to provide coordinated HR services.
- Assisting with internal employee development and training of HRA employees related to the consulting services channel.
- Building a culture and community both internally, and with our clients, that reflects diversity, inclusion, equity & belonging.
- Completing and maintaining all administrative recordkeeping.
- Attending various network events (in person and virtually) to further the company's name recognition and to develop new business, to promote HR Annie clients and to develop HR skills and expertise.
- Attending and presenting at various HR Annie workshops, trainings, speaking engagements and other events.
- Traveling to and/or between client meetings, events, and internal meetings around the greater PDX region, and sometimes beyond.
- Continuously engaging in learning Federal, State and Local labor laws; practices continuous personal/professional development.

You must have had recent experience and feel both confident and competent doing these things to be considered. Generally, this experience could come from functioning in a role such as Sr. HR Manager, Regional HR Manager, HR Director, Head of HR, etc. Overall titles are not as important as a well-rounded, working knowledge and more recent expertise in each area of the employee life-cycle.
- Experience working at a senior leadership level of human resources, leading an HR team or representing HR at an executive level, for multiple organizations.
- Proficiency and fluency in all areas of HR Infrastructure-have set strategy, developed, implemented, executed, reviewed, and delegated all responsibilities while managing other expectations and priorities of the organization; big picture thinker; problem solver; self-motivated, proactive.
- Partnered with legal counsel and advised leadership on escalated employee relations matters including protected leaves, ADA accommodation requests, performance management and investigations.
- Developed and implemented multi-state employment policies.
- Built and/or advised on company-wide compensation structure.
- Benefits design and utilization review and recommendations; administration.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to be professionally persuasive, willing, and able to work with and adapt to all personality styles.
- Willingness to train, mentor, and/or project manage HR Annie team members and Consultants.
- Supports the vision and values of HR Annie's leadership.
- You will need to pass a criminal background check if offered the position.
- Current SHRM-CP/SCP Certification (is a plus)
- Valid driver license or reliable transportation are required as travel to and from clients, events and the office is essential.
