Job Description
A dynamic and growing business is seeking a highly experienced Senior In-House Counsel to join its legal team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in real estate and construction law, with a strong focus on commercial leasing and construction financing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing commercial lease agreements, including retail, office, and industrial leases.
- Advising on and managing construction loan transactions, including loan documentation and project financing structures.
- Providing legal support across property acquisitions, disposals, developments, and construction projects.
- Managing legal risk and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborating with external counsel where necessary and coordinating legal input with internal teams.
- Advising senior management and stakeholders on legal strategy and risk mitigation in real estate and construction-related matters.
Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor or equivalent with 8+ years of post-qualification experience in real estate and construction law.
- Significant in-house or top-tier private practice experience, particularly in leasing and construction finance.
- Strong understanding of development projects, property law, and construction contracting.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload with minimal supervision.
