Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Talent Group is seeking a temporary General Counsel for a 6+ month, full-time hybrid role. The position requires strategic legal oversight in government contracting, compliance, and employment matters to ensure continuity and legal integrity during a key transition period.

Overview: Our client is seeking a temporary General Counsel to provide strategic legal leadership across government contracting, compliance, and employment matters. This role is critical to ensuring legal integrity and operational continuity during a key transition period.

Company: Private Security and Investigation Firm (GOV)

Experience: Over ten (10+) years of experience providing expert legal counsel on government contracting, with specialized expertise in Service Contract Act (SCA) compliance, proxy regulations, and employment and labor relations.

Location: HYBRID

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide expert legal advice on government contracting, including compliance with the Service Contract Act (SCA).
• Oversee and manage all proxy compliance matters.
• Advise on employment and labor relations issues, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with the existing attorney on staff to address various legal matters and provide comprehensive legal support.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings and manage any litigation or disputes.
• Ensure the company’s legal policies and procedures are up-to-date and in compliance with applicable laws.

Qualifications Include:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in government contracting, SCA compliance, proxy compliance, and employment and labor relations.
• Proven ability to manage complex legal matters and provide strategic legal advice.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal teams.

Pay rate: $115.00 to $120.00
