Junior Project Manager

Newark, Delaware

Hybrid Remote (3-Day On-Site Expectation)

12-Month Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $65,000 - $75,000 (Depending on Experience)

We are seeking to hire a highly motivated Junior Project Manager to join our Utility Communications team. As Junior Project Manager, you will work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Financial Analysts, and IT stakeholders to support project reporting and ensure data quality.

Responsibilities

• Collect and consolidate monthly project reports across the team strategic and engineering projects.
• Prepare summary reviews, risk assessments, and portfolio-level reporting for senior management.
• Ensure data quality and accuracy across reports; build and maintain supporting documentation, spreadsheets, and visual dashboards.
• Create bar charts, spreadsheets, and summary visuals to communicate project health and progress.
• Shadow experienced Project Managers to develop a strong understanding of project management methodologies and requirements.
• Review reports in PowerBI (initial focus on consumption rather than report building).
• Support cross-functional communication with senior managers, finance teams, engineering, IT, and PMO groups.
• Assist with ad hoc reporting, portfolio tracking, and UComm project support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, charts, formulas, data management).
• Experience working with Power BI (report viewing/analysis preferred; building experience a plus).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact across technical and business teams.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality reporting under deadlines.
