Job Title: Part-Time Legal Assistant

Location: FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA AT LOUTOS LAW

Job Type: Part-Time

Overview: LOUTOS LAW is seeking a meticulous and efficient Part-Time Legal Assistant to support our team with case reductions and closings. This role is ideal for a working parent who needs a flexible schedule to accommodate school and child-related activities. A background in bookkeeping is beneficial for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management and reduction of case liabilities, including negotiating settlements and documenting adjustments.
  • Support the closing of cases, ensuring all legal and procedural requirements are met.
  • Maintain precise case files and documentation, both electronically and physically.
  • Coordinate and manage communication with clients, courts, and other relevant parties.
  • Perform administrative duties such as scheduling, file organization, and data entry with high accuracy.
  • Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion and integrity.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or similar role, preferably in a legal setting.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Good communication skills and proficiency in written and verbal English.
  • Experience in bookkeeping or a strong understanding of financial processes is highly advantageous.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software.
  • High school diploma required; further education or certification in legal studies or bookkeeping is a plus.
