Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Residential Window and Door Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, replacing, and repairing windows and doors in residential properties. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills to ensure clients receive high-quality results and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation: Install various types of windows and doors, including but not limited to casement, sliding, bay, double-hung, patio doors, French doors, and entry doors.
  • Measurements and Adjustments: Accurately measure window and door openings, trim and adjust products for a perfect fit.
  • Removal and Disposal: Safely remove old windows and doors without damaging the surrounding structures and ensure proper disposal of materials.
  • Weatherproofing: Apply weather stripping, caulking, insulation, and other sealing materials to ensure windows and doors are weather-tight.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with homeowners to explain the installation process and answer any questions they may have.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished work to ensure it meets company standards and complies with local building codes.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any installation challenges, including structural issues or discrepancies in measurements.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in window and door installation is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of various window and door types, hand and power tools, and materials used in installation.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to [insert weight]), work at heights, and operate ladders and scaffolding safely.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and detail to ensure precise installations.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot on-site issues and adapt as needed.
  • Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (may be required for travel to job sites).
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
