Senior Project Controls Analyst

Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid)

Duration: 12-month+ contract

Pay Rate: $53/hr W2

We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Analyst to support a Project Management Office within a major utility company. In this role, you'll help manage project controls for infrastructure projects within the utility sector.

This hybrid position offers flexibility throughout the client's service territory with occasional on-site work at their Bay Area office.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project budgets, schedules, and forecasts
• Analyze cost and schedule variances, recommending corrective actions
• Prepare detailed performance reports for executive stakeholders
• Document and monitor project milestones, risks, and change orders
• Support Project Managers with financial analysis and reporting
• Manage project documentation in SAP and other enterprise systems
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of experience as a Project Controls Analyst
• Utility industry experience preferred
• Demonstrated expertise with SAP for project controls/budgeting
• Experience with Primavera (P6) for project scheduling
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Self-starter with ability to work independently
• Experience collaborating across multiple departments

Desired Qualifications:

• Proficiency in SAP Work Management, BPC, BW, Primavera P6, and MS Excel
• Knowledge of Unifier, ProjectWise, and/or HeavyBid
• Project Management, Project Controls, or Construction Management experience
• Risk Management and Earned Value Analysis experience
• CAPM or PMP Certification
• Experience with SPSI reporting
