Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Tile Setter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing a variety of tile types in commercial settings and possess a keen eye for detail and quality workmanship.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

- Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled, following blueprints and building plans.

- Cut and shape tile to fit around obstacles and into odd spaces and corners, using hand and power cutting tools.

- Prepare surfaces for tiling by cleaning and leveling them.

- Apply mortar or other adhesives to tile and set them in place, aligning tiles and spacing them correctly.

- Install decorative wall tile and floor tile in commercial buildings.

- Fill joints with grout using a rubber float, sponge, or trowel.

- Remove excess grout and apply necessary finishes to ensure the quality of the tile installation.

- Inspect finished work to ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship.

 

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Tile Setter in commercial settings.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans.

- Proficiency with hand and power tools used in tile installation.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.

- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

- Reliable transportation to job sites in and around Indianapolis.
