We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and professional Human Resources Specialist to support our corporate HR department in executing a variety of programs and procedures essential to the employee lifecycle. Role Type: 4-Month Contract (Potential for extension)

Location: 100% Onsite – Louisville, KY 40222 (Whittington Pkwy area)

Schedule: Monday – Friday (Standard business hours between 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM with some flexibility)

Key Responsibilities

Employee Lifecycle & Documentation

  • Transaction Processing: Process and maintain paperwork throughout the employee lifecycle in accordance with established company procedures.
  • Onboarding Support: Assist in the preparation and processing of post-employment-offer paperwork, including I-9 verification via the E-Verify system.
  • Compliance Screening: Assist with post-employment drug and background screenings, as well as managing post-accident and random screening programs.
  • Document Control: Follow up to ensure all employee paperwork is complete, accurate, and properly filed. Perform regular document auditing.

Benefits & HR Administration

  • Inquiry Management: Provide clear information to employees and managers regarding established HR policies and processes, referring complex issues to HR Consultants as needed.
  • Benefits Support: Assist with benefits administration and the coordination of company wellness programs.
  • Employment Verifications: Process all verification of employment (VOE) requests following corporate guidelines.
  • Systems Maintenance: Assist in maintaining employment forms and HR information on the Corporate Intranet for manager and employee access.

General Administrative Support

  • Reporting: Prepare correspondence and HR reports as directed by department leadership.
  • Internal Coordination: Provide general administrative support to the HR department to ensure efficient daily operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience in an HR administrative or support role is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate data entry skills with a focus on high accuracy and speed.
  • Customer Service: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to provide professional support to employees and managers.
  • Auditing: Strong attention to detail and experience with document auditing.
  • Knowledge Areas: Basic knowledge of payroll and benefits administration is considered a major plus.
  • Communication: Ability to prepare professional reports and correspondence.

Work Environment

This position is located in a professional office setting in Louisville. Candidates must be comfortable working 100% onsite and maintaining a consistent schedule within the 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM window.
